Publications & Ongoing Communications

Meals on Wheels of Salem County has relied on design for many different kinds of communication — from newsletters and informational brochures to donor outreach, special events, and a long-running community fundraiser.

+ THE NEED

Meals on Wheels communicates with very different audiences: clients, volunteers, donors, corporate supporters, and the broader community.

Each piece needed to make information approachable and easy to navigate while still reflecting the organization and the specific purpose of the communication.

+ THE APPROACH

Kirsten developed materials around the needs of each audience and initiative instead of forcing everything into one rigid template.

That included recurring newsletters, three audience-specific brochures, an 8.5 × 11 Case for Support aimed at larger corporate supporters, a complete gala package, and creative work for the Giant Pumpkin Carve — a major annual fundraiser that included event graphics and years of original T-shirt designs.

+ THE RESULT

The body of work gives Meals on Wheels a flexible set of communications that can shift from information-heavy publications to fundraising and community events.

Each initiative is allowed to have its own personality while still benefiting from thoughtful organization, clear hierarchy, and professional execution.
